Appreciated Follower Award and Keeping it Short

Thank you to Shawn Wesley for the lovely Appreciated Follower Award! I'm thrilled and honored.

By accepting this award I am also picking a few bloggers who I follow without fail :)

Congrats :) I truly do appreciate you!

Today I'm finishing up a new steampunk short story that came out of nowhere, and made known its demand to be written. I have two other short works in mind, but they will have to wait their turn. I'm enjoying the shorter works right now while I'm still editing my 90,000 word novel and working on my steampunk zombie novel. It allows me to step into a new headspace - one that I don't stay in nearly as long :)

What length stories do you prefer to write?

Thanks for stopping by!

Marie

  1. I like longer novels and I'm looking forward to your Zombie novel. For Halloween, my grandson wants to be a Zombie Hunter, and he wants his little sister to be a Zombie. There's got to be a fascinating story going on in his young mind.

  2. I like writing novels. Sure they take forever but then you really feel good when you're done.
Stopped by from the campaign and will come again

  3. Marie, thank you so much! *takes a bow*

Glad to see that the short stories are coming along! I've never really considered writing shorter works before, but all the flash fiction that I've been doing has served to pique my interest. I'm starting to kick around some ideas, so we'll see where things go.

Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

  4. Thank you, Marie! How nice of you! I always come by to read your blog as well.

I write too much to do flash fiction, but I can manage short stories. I tend to do the novella length so far, but I'm toying with both shorter and longer than that. We'll see.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!
