Since Wednesday I'm still soaring(yep, that's me in the steam airballoon) and accomplishing my goals, or at least most of them. That darn exercise thing. I sit down long enough and the feeling goes away. Well, that and it has been gray, gloomy, and cold - not high motivators. I need to make this a priority.
My goals for the week were:
1)Edit 8 pages per day - Yes! Edited 18 pages
2)Write for minimum of 30 minutes per day - Yes! 5K since Wednesday
3)Write 1 new blog articles - I slacked on this one due to the above 2 :)
4)Stop by fellow author blogs - did and will visit more over the next days
5)Edit book review for The Falling Machine - doing that today
6)Exercise 20 minutes minimum each day - moving on - nothing to see here
7)Read Dead Iron - halfway through - hard to put down!
8)Get plenty of sleep - well, I slept a little
Along with that I organized story folders, filled out character and setting worksheets, outlined a new story, and did writing craft related things.
On a side note, I'm impatient for Hunger Games to release. I keep watching the trailers and getting pumped for it :)
And some cool steampunk related goodies to leave you with:
Steampunk Spiderman - very creative take on Spiderman with a steampunk bent.
Nerf Steampunk Sniper - So freaking cool! I want one!
Steampunk Creepy Crawlers - These are all fantastic, but I love the scorpion one best - it's snazzy :)
Gotta love creative folks.
How was your week?

Great job on accomplishing your goals and sticking to them. You've got an impressive list, too. Keep up the awesome work!
ReplyDeleteI'm adding Dead Iron to my to-read list :) Nerf never looked so awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing such enthusiasm and positive attitude! Best of luck this upcoming week, Marie.
ReplyDelete(I struggle to exercise when the weather is gloomy, wet, or cold, too.)
Nerf Steampunk Sniper Rifle! You find the best toys, Marie, I so have to find one of those now.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your goals (exercise). It's great to see you making solid progress (exercise) and as Nadja said - what a fantastic attitude, makes me smile (exercise). I'm with you on sleep, in a legendary way according to some of my close friends, but that is how life is and after having done it for so long its just part of the natural rhythm now (exercise).
Have a great week, Marie, oh and, um...(exercise) :)
I'm super impatient for the Hunger Games release as well. I'm also struggling with exercise during the winter months. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on reaching those goals this week--and that Nerf Steampunk Sniper is sooo AWESOME!
Fantastic progress! I had a great goals week myself and I think nothing feels quite as good as the high of accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work this week! I'll check back in with you to make sure the balloon is still afloat. :-)
P.S. I absolutely love your header image.
Thanks so much Stacy!! :) Very much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI think you'll enjoy Dead Iron - it's fast-paced and draws you in from the first page. I'm looking forward to the sequel Tin Swift that will release in July...aka not soon enough! lol
ReplyDelete:)
Thank you Nadja :) I'm much more motivated in spring to workout. I start slipping around the holidays and then it takes me until March to get back into the groove. I think my body does its own hibernation in a way ;) lol.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Gene you have me cracking up over here. Can't even sip my tea or I'll snort it. Just what are you trying to tell me?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the mood boost this morning, and for stopping by. I know how hard you work, so it's appreciated like you wouldn't believe!
Thanks Heather! I sure do wake up with the intent to workout. After that I don't know what happens, but it's not exercise, lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to re-read the book (again) to keep myself calm. I just know it's going to be great.
Thanks so much for stopping by :)
Aww, thank you Jess! And yes, I hope to stay soaring as well :) Have balloon, must soar! I'd take a dirigible too. Never mind my intense fear of heights. lol. And YAY for your goal-busting week - keep up the great work!
