ROW80 Check-In 7/27

Morning everyone, the days are moving fast around here!

Since my last check in I've managed to write a steampunk horror short story, edit more pages of my mystery novel, continue work on the zombie novel, and keep up with the exercise/enough rest/eating healthy goals. I'm quite pleased with the progress.

I took the advice a few lovely ROW80ers suggested and printed out a few pages of my edits and added a little color to the process. It definitely gave me an added boost :) The trick of course will be to see whether or not it continues, or if the process becomes like a shiny new toy where I use the crumb out of it for a short bit and then taper off. I am guilty of doing that a lot.

So for the rest of the week I plan to work on fixing up the short story, continue edits, continue writing 30 minutes a day, and of course all the healthy good for me stuff that some mornings I have to work really hard to convince myself to do, lol.

Hoping the rest of you who have signed on for this wonderful challenge are doing well and hanging in there!

Marie

  1. Even if it's a shiny new toy at least printing stuff out is helping you get past this little block for now! Great work on hitting all of your goals. Best of luck with the rest of the week!

  5. Glad to hear that you're on target with your life goals...not just writing! Thanks for the cover love for Her Dark Baron! I posted a link to the talented Elaina's site for anyone interested. She has some very nice covers displayed. It's fun to look at them.
Best wishes for continued success this week. Hope to see you again ~ Nadja

  6. I see you're going great guns! Congratulations on making all those goals.

As Lisa said, even if the color hint doesn't work forever, think of it as a jump start. If you need some advice later on, someone will have the perfect hint for you; I truly believe that of this talented group!

Have a great rest of the week!

  13. Thank you Nancy - and I believe that too! Everyone is so supportive, and it means so much. As writers we're already quite solitary, so having this support takes away that feeling of doing it all alone.

  14. Very much appreciated Sonia. The short story idea and the using color for edits have both given me a creative boost. :)
