ROW80 Official First Day

While I can motivate myself well to stay on track and finish projects, I find writing and goal challenges helpful. Thanks to Kait Nolan, creator of ROW80 http://aroundofwordsin80days.wordpress.com/, I am beginning a new challenge to keep myself on task.

I have four goals that I want to accomplish in the next eighty days, and the challenge begins today, July 4th. Check-ins are twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays.

My goals are:

1) Complete edits of my steampunk mystery novel
2) Complete edits of my steampunk adventure novella
3) Write every single day, even if it's only for 30 minutes
4) Treat myself well by getting enough sleep, working out 4-5 times a week, and staying positive

  1. Hi, Marie. New follower here.
Speaking of goals. I have one, too. That would be to do less blog posting and more blog visiting. I have an 11 hour day job. It leaves very little time for much else. Now that I have begun doing author events, that makes it harder still. Good luck achieving your goals! Fingers crossed with mine. ;)

  2. Good goals, Marie; you may need to break down the edits into smaller goals, but then again maybe not. Writing every day is a good goal; taking care of yourself is a great goal (hmm, I may add that to mine!)

Glad to have you with us this round!

  4. Good to meet you as well! I like the sound of your goals. I may have to play with that edits part - not sure how to break it down, either pages a day or by chapters. Thanks for stopping by :)

  5. Hi Marie, thanks for stopping by my blog! I see we're both editing this round... Edits always take me longer to do than the first draft itself.
    Good luck with your goals!
