New Year. New Path.

After many months away to get myself back into a healthy headspace after my hard drive up and poofed away more than 8 months of solid work, I am excited to say that I look forward to ROW80 and the path I've set for myself.

Even though I have been away from the blogging, I have kept up with the wonderful friends I've made in previous ROW80's. I look forward to interacting with you in the upcoming weeks. My goals are quite simple at this time. Begin edits (again) of my steampunk novel, work on a short story or two, and continue work on my zombie steampunk novel. I'd like to see myself write no less than 500 words per day and edit no less than 15 pages per week. Anything more than that is just a bonus that I will celebrate.

I know I'm not the only writer who has lost their work. I know I won't be the last. And I know that if writing wasn't such a passion, it wouldn't have affected me so much. I'm a fighter, always have been, and I will always fight the good fight. My novel is the good fight.

I look forward to this new round of goal achieving and cheering on all the amazing people who have signed up to take part in this most exciting and most rewarding challenge.

  1. I don't know where to start, you've come back, started over and ready you're ready to fight. That is huge. And you're goals are solid. Best of luck, and can I just say, Zombies and Steampunk -- love it.

  3. Hey Marie, good to have you back!
Do you know dropbox? It's an online folder that you can access from any computer if you have your password. I always keep my work in there in case my computer dies on me, so I won't lose any of it ;)
    Good luck with your goals!

  6. Thanks for the heads up Juliana, I've not heard of dropbox, but will definitely look into it. After this lovely incident hubby installed some back up programs as well...but I've a bit of a complex now so more options can only help ease that :) I appreciate you stopping by!
